Restored Project #11

We run into this type of projects several times every year. The exposed “Pea Gravel” is a popular concrete finish around pool decks even though with time the little pebbles get sharp enough to hurt your bare feet….

The Problem:
As you can see in the “Before Pictures” this beautiful pool had several problems in its concrete deck that needed to be fixed before we can ad the wow factor back to it….
Some sections of concrete deck has been lifted by ground pressure…
There were several broken concrete sections…
There were concrete cracks everywhere…
Concrete’s exposed pebbles get sharper with time…
The color of the pool coping and the bricks are both light, with no color contrast…
Several brick bands around the pool deck were on the way of our customer’s design

The Solution:
We used our high strength polymer mix to fix all the problems in this pool deck as follows…
We a grind and fill process we fix the difference in hight in the surface’s level
We repaired and fill all the cracks in the concrete’s deck surface
We apply a bond coat to cover all the brick bands and imperfections in the deck surface
We lay a unique design on top of our bond coat, and have it approved by our customer
We used a design that was unique to our customer’s requirements and that also isolates future potential problems as if the lifting by ground pressure persisted…
We used our stamp texture mix that ads grip to the bare foot even when it gets wet and its not sharp to hurt your bare feet…
We custom stained this pool deck per our customer requirements to add the wow facto to this pool deck…

Important:
If the lifting of the concrete continues we can easily fix it since we have used a design that isolates areas in small pieces so we don’t have to replace the whole stamped texture coat…
